Work Continues.....

One thing about it...... remodeling NEVER happens quickly!  But work does continue on our bathroom remodel.


All of our Onyx arrived late last week.  That is the product we are using for the countertops, sinks, shower, etc.  This is a pic of our counter/sinks.  Yes, I know you can't see the sinks much, as it is wrapped in plastic.  And yes, it has even more covering over it now to protect it during the construction process!

And later in the week, James (our contractor) got the soffit covered in sheetrock, metal edge, and mesh.  It is now ready to be mudded!  Yay!

He also got the framing started for the wall between the bath and bedroom.  (That's the new shower pan you see laying in the background!)  We are going from a double door to a single door between the two rooms so that we can have a larger shower.  

All in all it is going very well.  Of course, because we are the home owners and not the contractors, it is going too slow!  <grin>  But that is the way of remodeling......
