I call it the Black and Copper Wirewrapped and Beaded Necklace. And I just posted this out in my Etsy shop. You can find it here. It is made from copper wire, that is formed into wonderful shapes and then hand hammered for texture. The shapes are then wired together and beads are added to accent the design.
A friend and I took a class at our local bead shop -- Beadazzled (what a wonderful place!) -- and learned how to do this wire technique.
Because I love to experiment and putter around in the studio, I've changed it up some from what we learned. And I'm loving the results!
This pendant necklace is done in copper wire. But I've also done them in silver and in brass. And frankly, I can't decide which one I like best because they are all intriguing and beguiling to me.
And of course, I've figured out how to do bracelets and earrings to complement each look. For the black and copper earrings, follow this link. I haven't posted the bracelet in my shop as yet, but will give you a heads up when I do.
So check out your local bead establishment, you just never know what wonderful things you might be able to learn there.
And check out my Etsy shop --- let me know what you think!
Cheers!
Dr J
